Implant Services

Many Dinka Dental patients choose dental implants rather than removable bridges or dentures to replace missing teeth. Dental implants offer a permanent solution with the look and feel of your real teeth. With proper care, implants will last many years or even a lifetime. Schedule a consultation with our staff for a complete evaluation of your situation so you can choose the right tooth replacement solution for you.

Dental implants consist of a small titanium post permanently anchored in your old tooth’s bone socket, another post called an abutment that serves as a connector to the implanted post, and a replacement tooth, or crown, that is attached to the abutment. The replacement crown is custom built to match the color, positioning and bite of your surrounding teeth, so that you will not be able to tell the difference between the appearance or function of your new tooth and your original teeth.

Many patients express concerns about the potential discomfort of the oral surgery that is involved in placing dental implants, but most people find the procedure to be less painful than a tooth extraction. We use local anesthesia to deaden the feeling in the jaw, so the implant procedure is painless. We also offer nitrous oxide to help nervous patients relax and reduce stress during the procedure. There may be minor discomfort and swelling in the days following the implant surgery which can be controlled with over-the-counter pain medications.

Call us at Dinka Dental to discuss your options for tooth replacement. Our caring, experienced staff will find the right solution for you, using the latest techniques for eco-friendly, pain-free procedures in a relaxed setting.
